Topic Summary:

Software Process Engineering is a focus on the design, operation and maintenance of software development. This is a relatively new field of study within Software Management and has developed mainly out of the discoveries made over the last decade through the application of Rapid Application Development and Agile processes like XP and Scrum. It is the culmination of this research and feedback from those in the field that have driven thought leaders in software management to evolve the applications of agile/lean concepts to organization's business needs as a means to improve the delivery of their technology platforms.

We believe in taking the time to understand the interaction of the business' needs, the market conditions, and the development team's skills. This enables companies to strategically eliminate gaps to create an environment for productive, efficient and measurable results within their software development teams. Together with tools like Team Foundation Server, Rally, and Version One PCG is able to deliver software processes with a focus on value and quality without sacrificing time to market.

This presentation will help frame the conversation for Information Technology Managers, and demonstrate why the business' needs, your current team, and the selection of the right tools are all important pieces for building a winning process and creating an environment for continuous improvement.
