A few months ago I switched over to Viatalk at home for VOIP service over our cable internet connection. All in all it has been great, especially when my wife and I work from home on the same days. I was able to easily set up all the phone jacks in our house to be VOIP active and we get 2 lines for around 20 bucks per month with unlimited long distance which is great since we both work with people all over the U.S. The addition of the VOIP router and some other new devices on the home network led me to rethink my configuration. I have a pretty standard router and firewall but still wanted to thumb through the manuals as I was working on reconfiguring things but of course threw them away as soon as I unpackaged things a year ago. A quick Google search led me to a great site Scribd that had my manual uploaded and readable online. How killer is that? In digging around I've found a lot of other helpful documents readily available and to boot they're leveraging Google accounts for authentication so I didn't have to create and maintain yet another login and password. Big wins all around as far as I'm concerned. So if you're looking for a document or a manual give Scribd.
